Experience
Archidea Sp.P. was established in 2004. Over the years, the architectural company has gained design experience on every scale. We design public utility buildings: office, commercial, gastronomic, sports and recreational buildings, educational and cultural buildings, hotels and shopping centers, as well as single-family and multi-family residential buildings and housing estates. We design warehouses, production halls and logistics centers. Our services are comprehensive, they cover every investment stage - including interior arrangements, fit-out projects for companies, corporate identity projects, industrial forms, design and graphics. We also deal with the revitalization of historic buildings. We have worked for large corporations as well as for individual clients.
Knowledge
The knowledge resulting from this diversity of experiences, related to our principle of avoiding the comfort of repetitions, has led to the creation of many unique and publicly appreciated buildings - many of them have been successfully functioning for over a decade.
Cooperation
The interdisciplinary nature of our profession is based on constant cooperation with several dozen industry team of engineers and specialists in various fields. Over the years, we have managed to select the best team of collaborators in the local market, which allows us to deal with every topic.
Workshop
Our design office has BIM software, thanks to which we minimize errors in the implementation of technical projects. 3D computer models facilitate the presentation and cross-industry coordination, which does not mean that we have given up the traditional techniques of architectural presentation. We draw, make photomontages and 3D models.
Areas of interest
Our inspirations change depending on the context and concepts evolve. When designing a building, we always take into account the quality of architecture, which from our experience, contrary to the general opinion, usually accounts for about 10% of the total investment costs. There are many definitions to describe architecture, but most return or refer to the Vitruvian triad:
Durability
CONSTRUCTION SOLUTIONS - we realize that their economic optimization probably has the greatest impact on the shape of the architecture of a given historical period. We do not try to fight it, although sometimes we try to search, both in the context of unusual solutions and the use of non-obvious materials. It's hard to call us constructivists, but we like when the structure is a value in itself, so we like to use glued wood, solid concrete or exposed stone or brick walls.
Utility
FUNCTIONAL SOLUTIONS - we pay special attention to the correct design of the meso zone. A zone described by Oskar Hansen, in which the user of the building is neither inside nor outside. The penetration of the interior and exterior of the building and the possibility of changing functions, depending on the circumstances, are, in our opinion, a value desired by people, an example may be the green, usable roof - a meeting and rest area, praised by the employees of the Forum 76 Office Building, or a roofed monastery courtyard, thanks to a twelve-meter one, a sliding, folding glass wall can become, for example, a closed concert hall or a public square.
Beauty
AESTHETIC SOLUTIONS - we are inspired by mathematics, art and nature, or rather the mutual relations between these three elements. The geometric principles of the golden ratio have led to the creation of surprising forms of buildings. We like to play with optical art that gives the impression of movement. Seemingly costly to implement biomorphic or zoomorphic forms of buildings, used by us, after careful analysis, turned out to be accurate, also in economic terms, solutions. There is also the issue of the cultural context, which we always try to take into account for a better social perception of our buildings.
Ecology
The Archidea team from the beginning of its activity pays special attention to issues related to sustainable development and ecological solutions. We took an active part in numerous conferences and meetings with emissaries and pioneers of ecological and energy-saving solutions. We also learned about certification issues in the context of some of our buildings.
Hope
Currently, the world around us is changing faster and more dynamically - unfortunately not always for the better, which is why the Archidea team was also involved in organizing workshops that build a sense of aesthetics and architectural awareness among the youngest - future users and designers of the space in which we live. We would like people to care more about good architecture.
